workflow interrupted

Yesterday was not a work day. It was supposed to be. Even though I don’t usually work on Mondays, it was supposed to be. What feels more like a work day than a Monday, after all?
I had plans. Man plans, the gods laugh. Is that the line?
Yesterday was a 4 alarm family fire kind of day. Everyone needed something more than I needed to keep my schedule, so I did all the things I needed to do instead of what I had planned. And then there was that side bushel of other things I got done because they were there and it was easier to fold the laundry than think or have feelings. And I started a scary new medication too.
I feel like a piano may fall out of the sky if I say this but enough is enough!
Today I just want to do what I want to do, which happens to be archival photos for the 5 featured tarot decks of July — all 5 of which are going to subscribers, one for every Friday newsletter of the month. If you’re a subscriber, you are already entered to win. If you refer new subscribers, extra chances for you!
Where was I?
My archival photo lineup has been the Fool, the Magician, the Lovers, the Hermit, Death, and the World. Plus the Ace of each suit, the card backs, and any boxes, books, bags, or binders that came in with the deck.
Pretty standard. I added the Hermit because it’s the card that most makes me think of my partner. I’m adding the Moon too. She’s the card I always look for first when I crack open a new deck. The one I hope sees me back.
What about you? What card do you always look for first? Maybe I should add it to the archival shots too.
